ATTORNEY-AT-LAW
Patrick Rode
Patrick was raised bilingual and has spent a number of years living abroad, including in the US, Ecuador and Italy. He is fluent in Italian and has a good knowledge of the Spanish language in addition to his native languages German and English. After graduating from high school in Baden-Baden, Patrick began studying law at the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg i. Br, during the course of which he spent two semesters at the Università degli Studi di Padova in Padua, Italy. Patrick completed his legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf, with different stages, among others, in London at the German-British Chamber of Industry and Commerce and a large German law firm, as well as at a medium-sized law firm in Frankfurt am Main.
Patrick has gained experience at various international law firms. Most recently, Patrick worked for a US law firm in the areas of corporate law and complex commercial litigation. In doing so, he was able to gain significant experience in accompanying corporate transactions, advising leading companies on stock corporation and company law, as well as advising on highly complex disputes and mass damage claim proceedings (such as advising a large German car manufacturer agains mass consumer claims).
Areas of advice
Patrick advises clients in particular in resolving disputes and any other litigations. This includes litigation before state courts as well as arbitration proceedings and advice on conflicts between companies, organisations and institutions, within a group, between shareholders, within the management, between works council and management, in teams or between employees and managers. In addition, he advises on administrative proceedings and litigation.
Patrick's practice also focuses on corporate and company law. This includes, in particular, advising stock corporations, limited liability companies and on partnership law, but also the formation of companies and startups, assistance with shareholder and general meetings, capital measures, succession advice and conflict resolution under company law.
